Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water Level 188.30
Water Temperature upper 50's to low 60's
Water Clarity Stained to muddy in creeks
We are still experiencing variations in weather patterns. High winds and rain are keeping the water stirred up and muddy at times. The water is down just a little from last report. This is exposing the bank cover that will make some great cover when the fish finally do move shallow.
Bass are biting better. They are still transitioning and patterns change from trip to trip. Bass are being taken in trash piles in 6 to 12 feet using jigs, Carolina rigs with lizards or frogs and heave Texas rigged worms.
Crappie are still scattered, the ones being caught are really nice. Jigs are working on the drop near cover.
Cat fish are beginning to get active. Jugs in the creeks are a good bet for some good meals.
Keep a close eye on changing weather patterns while out on the water. The mornings are still cool so dress accordingly and drink plenty of water.
