Water temperature Mid to upper 80's
Water clarity Stained to clear
The fronts and constant weather changes still keep the fish confused and the fishermen on their toes. The full moon last week set up some great fishing for the Alabama Children's Classic Bass Tournament. It took 22.81 pounds for Jeff and Paul Aul to win, the great news was, we paid 15 places and 18.31 pounds did not get a check. The shallow bite was really hot. Jigs worked tight in the cover were getting good fish. Spinner baits were getting short strikes," when we added the trailer hook, hook up's were constant" I was told by one of the fishermen at the scales. The deep fish are hitting big crank baits and big worms on Carolina rigs.
Crappie are taking jig's on the deep trash piles.
Blue Gills and Shell Crackers are doing great around the overhanging brush on the banks.
Catfish are really hitting, jug fishing has been good. Lot's of good eating and fun for the kid's to watch the jug's jumping and running while you get close enough to pick up the jug.
