Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water Level 188.68 msl
Water Temperature low to mid 80's
Water Clarity Clear to slight stain her
The shad hatch report is good. The biologists have conducted the shad count and the hatch was great. Plenty of food for the fish so fishing is a little tougher.
Bass have been hitting dark jigs near cover on the banks. The top water bite is still working very early, spinner baits, buzz baits, flukes and frogs. The deep fish have been hit and miss of late. Very slow presentations are getting the attention of the bass. May Flies are still hatching, look for the bream working near blow downs on the shore line.
Bream are on the shore lines where the May flies are, worms are their choice right now.
Crappie are doing well around trash piles on Minnows.
Cat fish are on fire on jugs in the creeks. Some very large ones are being taken on cut bait.
The cool weather is making for some nice morning fishing, be sure and keep plenty of water and sun screen with you, the day's warm up fast.

God Bless & Good Fishn'
