Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake Level 187.74
Water Temperature mid 70's
Water Clarity very slight stain to clear
Fishing has been very good lately, loads of smaller fish being caught as well as bigger ones if you are willing to work an area out very slow.
The tournament fishermen are running on deeper trash piles as the lake continues to drop with no explanation. Heavy spinner baits are doing a good job.
The Military event just finished three great days with 54+ pounds for three days winning the event.
Crappie are still cooperating on jigs and minnows.
Shell Crackers are in the flats and some really nice ones are coming in. Worms are the deal now.
Catfish are doing good on jug's and cut bait. The fishermen are everywhere now, jugs are everywhere. The Eufaula catfish are the best eating around.
The day's are heating up and you need to be sure and have plenty of water and sun tan lotion. The water level is constantly changing, so be cautious when running outside the river markers.
Be sure and visit www.alabamachildrensclassic.org , sign up for the news letter and cone fish our 15th year event June 13 and support the COA and Children's Hospital at UAB in Birmingham, Al.
God Bless & Good Fishn'
