Lake Eufaula, Alabama

Capt. Sam Williams
July 12, 2015
Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water level 187.81 msl
Water temperature mid 80's
Water clarity clear

Bass are feeding early and late. The bait fish are working cover early and the shallow bite is on at first light and over by mid morning. They pick up again near sun set and work on into the evening. The night tournaments have been doing well with the bigger bites coming after dark. The deeper fish are on the cover and trash piles.

Crappie are in the brush piles and are doing good on jigs or minnows 'till about 9:00 A.M.

Bluegills and shell crackers are near cover and are following the same feeding pattern as crappie.

Catfish on jugs are really hot right now, You can get all you want to clean in a couple of hours.

With this heat, it is time to be back home by 10:00 A.M. and going back in the late afternoon. The late day storms are a problem and the lightning is very dangerous. Keep a close eye on the weather, drink plenty of water and have sunscreen with you.

Enjoy the time on the water, fishing is good right now.

God Bless & Good Fishn'
Capt. Sam
