Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake Level 188.51 msl
Water clarity slight stain
Water temperature mid to upper 80's
The shore line cover is full and plentiful. It is loaded with bait fish.
Bass are working this cover early and late. When this bite is over, move to deeper cover. Carolina rigged worms, lizards cranks are working. Heavy Texas rigs work also.
Crappie are still on deep trash piles and are hitting minnows and jigs.
Blue gills are on the banks, under overhanging brush. Wigglers and crickets are the bait to use.
Catfish are still on fire, especially on jugs and cut bait. Bottom fishing on ledge drops with bottom rigs on rod and reels will work for those who do not enjoy jug fishing.
The weather forecast calls for cooler weather but it is still summer and we need to have plenty of water and sun screen when we go on the water. Be safe and enjoy what God has provided for our relaxation.
God Bless & Good Fishn'
Capt. Sam
