Lake Eufaula, Alabama

Capt. Sam Williams
May 8, 2016
Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake Level 187.47 msl
Water Temperature low 70's
Water Clarity heavy stain to muddy

The fishing is getting better daily, the water is warming up and clearing up. Bigger bass are deep in the cover, ripping baits through the cover and dropping it on the edge of cover is the trick. Sinko's on the edge of cover is working. Whacky rigged Sinko's are also working.

Crappie are picking up as the water clears.

Shell crackers are bedding and hitting the big red worms. If you are cruising the flats at low speed, you can smell the beds.Keep your boat from casting a shadow on the bed, it will spook the females off the bed.

Cat Fish are always cooperating and make a fun day for entertaining the kid's and the tasty meal
is a bonus for a great family supper.

The Alabama Children's Classic is fast approaching, June 11, 2016. Please visit our web site www.alabamachildrensclassic.org , sign up to fish or take advantage of other opportunities to support our efforts to help the families of children being treated at UAB in Birmingham.

God Bless & Good Fishn'
Capt. Sam
