Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water level 188.63 msl
Water clarity Stained
Water temperature Mid 70' s
The weather seems to be leveling out a bit and the water is clearing. Afternoon storms still hold a threat from daytime heating. Be aware of these thunder heads and the lightning.
Bass are settling in on the ledges, not necessarily on trash. June bug soft plastics rigged on a Carolina rig getting bites. The early bite is still shallow where you locate grass. Sinko's in green colors are the trick. Shallow crank baits are also working near surface cover.
Crappie are still being stubborn for the most part, the cleaner water should help after this full moon.
Shell crackers are bedding on the flats and the back end of some small creek beds.
Blue gill are g on tight cover on grass lines and especially near blow downs.
Catfish are doing very well, especially on jugs. Lot's of fun with a pole rigged to lift the jugs.
The Alabama Children's Classic Bass Tournament in coming up June 10 & 11 here in Eufaula. Check our web site for details. The public is invited to attend and take part in the weekend activities. Plenty of prizes for everyone.
Be safe on the water, enjoy what God has provided for us.
God Bless & Good Fishn'
Capt. Sam
