Lake Eufaula, Alabama

Capt. Sam Williams
June 14, 2016
Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake Level 188.34 msl
Water Temperature Mid 80's
Water Clarity Clear

]
Lake Eufaula is getting hot, weather wise and fishing as well. The Alabama Children's Classic winner's took first place with 27.05 pounds.
The early morning top water bite is getting some really nice bass. When that bite slows down, the ledge bite is working on a Carolina rig.

The crappie are schooling up on deeper structure and hitting minnow tipped jigs.

Blue gill are under bank trees where Mayflies are gathered. Watch for the birds working in the trees eating the fly's.

Shell crackers are bedding on the flats off shore. You can locate the beds by smelling them. Stay back and try not to cast a shadow on the bed, throw a wiggler into the bed and hang on.

Catfish are always hungry and will hit cut bait on jugs or worms and livers on the bottom.

With the heat factor over 100 degrees now, keep plenty of water and sunscreen while on the water, or bank fishing. Be aware of the afternoon thunder heads and do not take a chance with the lightning.

Watch for info coming soon on the Soldier's Wish Big Bass Tournament April 8 – 9 , 2017.

God Bless & Good Fishn'
Capt. Sam
