Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water Level 189.68 msl
Water clarity Clear to slight stain
Water Temperature upper 80's
Water temperature has cooled down some over the past week. The early morning top water bass bite is still good in the pads. As the sun gets up it's time to go to the deeper cover and work lipped baits and Carolina rigs. The river banks are also holding bass where you fond wood in the water.
Crappie are holding on deeper trash piles and hitting minnow tipped jigs.
Pan fish are on the banks under overhanging trees and bushes. The Mayflies are hatching and the bream and bass are feeding on them.
Catfish are still feeding on cut bait on jugs.
Keep an eye on alabamachildrensclassic.org and our Facebook page for new ways to support our foundation efforts. Our local Winn Dixie is supporting us with the shopping bag promotion.
The hot summer days on the water can dehydrate you in a hurry, drink plenty of water and energy drinks and use plenty of sun screen.
God Bless & Good Fishn'
Capt. Sam
