Lake Eufaula,Alabama

Capt. Sam Williams

Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water Level. Not available at reporting time
Clarity- Clear to slightly stained
H2O Temperature mid 80's to low 90's
The past two days of rain and has helped stain the clear water a little and drop the 90 + degree water temp. some.

Bass are still working the shallows until mid morning. The frog bite is still working to some degree but the top water poppers are really doing the trick around cover. The NuckleBall jig is working well rigged with soft plastics. Because it remains so weed less, it is working as a swimming JIG, A Texas rig as well as the Shaky head, so you have all threePpresentations on one retrieve.

The deep water bite is back to being stubborn. The deep running cranks run very slow are producing fish. The Caroling rig is doing well also. The Fin-tech Tech Stick and Slow D are really eliminating the hang ups you get when rigging with the conventional bullet type weights.

Pan fish are starting back on crickets and worms. Slow troll the bank lines dibbling the baits as you move along slowly. When you hit a pocket with several hits, stop and fish it out and begin the slow move again.

Crappie are still deep and doing well on small crank baits. You can cover more water with these and on ultra light rigs, the fight is exciting.

Catfish are on the move and the meal they provide is great. Cut bait is still my favorite.

Be sure and keep an eye on the Lee King web site,www.leekingbenefit.org for exciting new developments on ways you can help us fund a cure for these precious children. I received an e mail from a father of an NP boy, one of the children in India went home to be with the Lord over the weekend. We can make a difference and stop these loss' with a cure or a treatment. Thank you for all the continued prayers and support you provide.

Until next time,
God Bless & Good Fishn'
Capt. Sam
