Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake Eufaula, Eufaula, Alabama. Lake Levels not available from Corps at this writing.
Lake levels are still up and water is clear. Temp. is holding around 83 degrees.
Bass are coming on early morning hit in the grass. As the sun rises they are moving to the first deep water. Top water lures are working well as well as finesse baits. As they move deeper, the cranks are catching some as well as the Carolina rigs.
Crappie are still coming in good numbers. Bouncing a jig off the bottom or counting down is the trick. Look for good structure or work the bridge pilings.
Bream are biting crickets and beetle spins. The blow down along the banks are the secret.
Cat fishing is moving to a new level here on Lake Eufaula. The big ones are being taken in numbers on jugs. Last week the Bass Pro Big Cat Quest visited our waters and the big fish was taken by a Tennessee , weighing in at 23 pounds. The fish are the best eating the lake has to offer. For more info on a good trip, contact me at the numbers listed.
The Lee King Benefit Buddy Tournament was fished in rainy weather with 118 teams competing. The winners are listed on the www.leekingbenefit.org site. The tickets for the 2006 Stratos / Mercury / Johnson Outdoors rig are here and ready to purchase. Brandi Jordan from Splendora, Texas won this year's rig. Get your tickets early and help us find a cure for our precious children. All money goes to Niemann-Pick Disease research.
"Till next time,
God Bless & Good Fishn'
