Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake Eufaula, Alabama
Lake level 12/04/2005 is 188.11
Water temperatures are in the low 60's
Clarity is muddy to dingy
Bass are still holding under the hydrilla during the cooler days. The hot and cold weather is causing lots of confusion for the bass but remember, the hydrilla is acting like an incubator on the cool days if the sun comes out. Fish these areas slow with finesse baits or weed less Texas rigged soft plastics. Where the hydrilla is near rocks, Mann's Hardnose craw is doing the job. There are still bass on the river drops. Carolina rigged Lizards or the Kinami flash work well, also deep running cranks worked extra slow are catching fish.
Crappie are starting to do their thing on minnows, it won't be long before the trolling will be productive.
Pan fish are hit and miss now with the weather changes. Beetle spins worked along bank cover will always get a few bites along.
Catfish continue to provide lots of fun and relaxation for those looking for a great meal. Cut bait still gets the bigger bite while worms and minnows will almost always guarantee something for the skillet.
Please visit the www.leekingbenefit site and purchase your tickets for the 2006 Stratos 285ProXL powered my a 150 HP. Optimax Mercury. It will be decked out with a color Huminbird fish finder and a Minn Kota trolling motor. These children do not have a future without our help.
