Especially for the many deserving Fathers that will be celebrating Father's Day Weekend with their children. Its predicted to be 89-90 degrees and a 30% chance of rain for Fathers Day Sunday!

What better way, than to go fishing on Alabama's (50 mile long, 100 year old reservoir), Lay Lake! Bring plenty of water and sunscreen!

* Some bass anglers are fishing deep with bottom fished lures like big 12 inch worms and big over sized jig combos, deep diving crankbaits, Alabama Rigs, swim baits and jigging spoons, fishing slow along stump ridden river ledges, rock bluffs, around islands and creek mouths.

While some anglers have reported some big bass still in very shallow water, caught around shallow weeds and wood cover.

* Topwater lures like buzz baits, frogs, zara
spooks, Sammies and poppers are great!

Some anglers are fishing at night around well lighted places like around resident-built piers (especially those with brush piles), around marinas, around boat houses, along causeways, and well ighted bridges and culverts.

Day or night Texas-rigged worms in sizes of 6 inches to 12 inches fool big bass on Lay lake.
Other lures fished on bottom like creature baits, lizards, beaver-type plastics, crayfish imitations and smaller finesse worms work on both shallow and deeper summertime bass!
