We Make Fishing Fun With a Great Catch of Grouper

Orange Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

WE MAKE FISHING FUN WITH A GREAT CATCH

The weather has been outstanding. With the coming of summer time the wind has quit blowing and the seas are almost flat. This means it's time to catch fish! We had a 12 hour trip this week and got out around 50 miles to some deep water rocks and fished for Grouper and Scamp. When it is so calm, you can feel the bite much better in the deep water. It's always hard to tell if you get a bite when it's deep but if it's rough it's even harder. We used Jigs with a Mr. Twister tail and bounced it on the bottom to catch some nice Gag Grouper, Red Snapper and a few Amberjacks.

This is the time of year that we have been waiting for and thinking about all winter. The excitement is building. The World Championship Red Snapper Tournament got off to a great start with some fish as large as 27 and 28 pounds being brought in on the first day. The tournament runs all of Snapper season (June 1rst-August5th). We are fishing in the tournament every day that we go out. I have lots of "HOT TIPS" on how to get a fish that will put you on the weigh-in board. Let's go have some fun.
