Gulf Coast Fishing Report - Orange Beach

Capt. Don McPherson
October 4, 2006
Orange Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Deep Sea Fishing off Alabama Gulf Coast

Fishing continues to be good in September. The longer trips are producing the variety, quanity and quality. The amberjack bite has been good well offshore. Red snapper bite is still on and off. Scamp, vermillion snapper, white snapper, triggerfish and king mackeral is consistant. We caught and released a white marlin on a 12 hour offshore trolling trip and lost another one. The wahoo have also shown up again offshore. There is pretty blue water about 35 miles offshore.

The 4 and 6 hour trolling trips are still producing spanish and king mackeral. The redfish should be showing up anyday near the beach.
