Gulf Coast Fishing Report - Orange Beach

Orange Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Alabama deep sea fishing in the fall

Big fish in October ! An awesome 12 hour fishing charter with Richard Lunsford and family. We caught scamp, white snapper, vermillion snapper, triggerfish, red snapper and 4 giant amberjack. The amberjack weighed 59lbs, 56lbs, 55.5lbs and 54lbs. I wish I could tell you this happens often, but it does not. However, we have been catching some really nice amberjack in the past 2 months. September and October are great months for deep water fishing, including amberjack fishing. These fish gave one heck of a fight. These amberjack should continue to be around and a 10 hour trip is good for these fish in November and December. You just have to get a good weather day with no north wind. However, if you book a 10 hour offshore trip and the seas are too rough then a great alternative is fishing nearshore in calm seas for big bull redfish. The big redfish are here and weighing from 20 to 30 pounds and are a blast on light tackle.
