Big Ones and news on the new Smith Lake Striper Club

Smith Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Smith Lake
July 23rd, 2012

To start this week, I wasn't so sure my luck was going to change. Starting Sunday morning around 1 a.m. with battery issues. But we made the best of it, I used my trolling motor and made it to one spot. That's all we needed as we boated some nice fish. I've got pictures of the biggest fish up on my website, under fishing reports - July. The early night bite is still hit and miss. I strongly recommend to fish the last couple hour of dark before sunrise. That when the action picks up and continues throughout the morning. I'll be post picture and reports throughout the week, as I got the word that everything is working right on my boat.

If your interested in fishing Smith Lake give me a call or email.

Also if your interested in the Smith Lake Stripers Club send me and email and I'll give you all the info you need.

Smith Lake Stripers Club

This club is meant for everybody from the weekend angler to your everyday guy that striper fishes. This is not your average club, this is a preferred members club. Other than normal club activities like meetings and tournaments. This club is about networking and providing a service to you that no other guide is offering. Everyone who striper fishes knows, if you're not spending time on the water it's tough to stay on the fish. Plus with the cost of shad($20 - $24 a dozen), gas, and wear and tear on your engine. There is a need to find the fish fast and not spend all weekend doing it. That's what I hope this club can offer you. A way to make sure you spend your time on the water as productively as possible. I will be providing in depth fishing reports twice a week. One on Monday and another before the start of the weekend on Thursday. This will be emailed or texted to you weekly. Reports will include everywhere I'm catching fish, the baits I'm using at the time, process depths, and techniques used. Premium members will be able to call me on the days they are on the water for real time reports. The club will have a membership fee of $50 a year and a $20 a month fee for the service. For the whole year it costs the same amount as a 6 hour guided trip. That means you get a whole year's worth of info for the same price. If you're looking to learn the patterns or migration routes, this is your ticket. I hope everybody understands what I'm offering, my intention is to help people catch fish. This is meant for the people who need just a little help finding the fish. With shad costing $20 or more a trip, what's $20 a month to cut down the search and find the fish quicker. I am about broadening my brand, most guides wouldn't tell where they are fishing. But I understand not everybody can afford to go on a trip every week or month. Or maybe you've gone out with me a couple times and you feel confident on how to catch them but just need to learn the patterns. No matter the situation, it never hurts to have a helping hand. Like I said earlier, this is about networking. Meetings will focus on members relaying info between one another. With a little cooperation and boat etiquette, sharing info shouldn't be a problem. I will be finalizing everything over the next couple of days. So if your interested or have any questions let me know. More info in greater detail will be available by next week.
