I had a trip wednesday morning at 8am - 12pm, but before I picked them up. I fished the lights from 11pm on tuesday night till 4:30am Wednesday morning. I fished three lights all night and only used one lure. I filmed a couple of the catches and will have a video up on Thursday after lunch. A 3/4oz. bucktail jig with a 4" swimbait seemed to do the trick. Unlike the past couple night trips, last night had mostly average fish swimming through. With the average fish weighing between 7 - 12 lbs., that meant no wall hangers but plenty of action.
My morning trip was one of my favorite trips I can take, a father and son. The dad was just looking to get his son on the water and further introduce him to fishing. Other than a little wind, we had a good day.
After dropping them off, I went back to fishing and figured I'd catch dinner for me and some friends. I fished a lot of water this afternoon looking for more crappie spots like the one I call "The Tree That Never Stops Giving". After catching enough crappie and busting a couple bass on topwater, I called it a day.
I expect the next week of fishing to be hot, once the water settles down from the heavy rain were expecting on Thursday and Friday.
