Smith Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Smith Lake
February 6th, 2013

I spent the last two days fishing from big bridge to misty harbor. While spending most of my time between goat island and misty harbor. On Monday the fish were a little tighter then today. We didn't catch our first fish till mid morning. On days that there really spread out and you have murky water trolling mite be your best option. Depending on the weather, I think we are still a couple weeks from prime time. While the water had warmed up some during the rain weeks, it has drop to 49 over the past two day. I want be hitting the water till mid day, as the bites seem to pick up as the morning gets later. I will be fishing some afternoons this week, this is the time of year you shouldn't have trouble getting them to bite. As the water warms up they will start to move less and should sit in areas longer. If your interested in booking a trip give me a call.
