July 1, 2008 Fishing Report

Capt. Jim Lucas
July 1, 2008
Yes Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fishing has really turned on this past week. The King salmon run is beginning slowly this year, but we are putting a fair share of kings on the dock everyday now. In addition, some early pink salmon and silver salmon are mixed in. We are ready for a great season of salmon fishing.

The halibut bite has been hot on the tides with several guides bringing in limits daily. The rock fish and yellow eye snapper bite has been steady as well.

Yes Bay Fishing Forecast:

This season promises to be a good one, although the kings were a little late this year, we expect the remainder of the summer season to be a great one.

Target Species:

King Salmon, Chum Salmon, Pink Salmon & Silver Salmon and Halibut
