Big Trout are plentiful

Capt. Bill Weaver
April 30, 2010
Cotter - Freshwater Fishing Report

The stretch of water from the White hole to Buffalo City has been exceptionally good for good sized Brown and Rainbow Trout, due to the steady flow of 3 or more units coming out of Bull Shoals Dam. We are also seeing alot of Golden Trout, which were just stocked in a small number last year. Brown Trout are still eating Sculpins well, as well as Shrimp. Berkely Bubblegum worms are working well on both Browns and Rainbows.

Cotter Fishing Forecast:

With no visible end to the steady flow of water out of Bull Shoals Dam, the fishing will continue to get better and better, as the water temperatures will remain steady. dragging the aforementioned baits near known structure will produce some really good quality fish, and good quantities of them.

Target Species:

Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout
