Greers Ferry - Freshwater Fishing Report

Subject: report greers ferry lake

The water level at greers ferry is at 461.30 it is 1.24 feet below normal pool of 462.54 and falling with generation and evaporation , the temp is in the middle 80's.

The bass fishing is good early morning and late in the afternoons as well as when generation is going on on football heads, Alabama rigs and big worms, on points and in and around brush piles.

Crappie are biting in pole timber and in and around brush piles and at night under lights in 15-25 feet of water on minnows and jigs.

Bream are eating crickets and crawlers from real shallow out to 25 feet of water.

Catfishing is good all over the lake on a vaqriety of baits on jugs and trotlines as well as rod and reels.

The walleye are suspended and are eating crank baits and crawlers trolled about 3 mph around rocky points 19-27 feet of water.

The hybrid and white bass bite is good early and late and also when water is being pulled, from 25-37 feet of water around bait fish, using spoons and in-line spinners.
