Greers Ferry - Freshwater Fishing Report


The water level at greers ferry is at 462.42 and rising it is 0.12 feet below normal pool of 462.54 and the temp is 83-85 degrees.

The white and hybrid bass fishing is tough, it is good during generation and at certain periods during the day around shad, the cooler rain has pushed the warmer water deep and the fish some have moved shallower and all have dispersed quite a bit and a lot are just floating around suspended, a few are starting to come to the top at certain times as well, stay around shad and use spoons ,in-line spinners and swim baits in 25-45 feet of water.

The bream fishing is good on crickets and crawlers from 1 foot out to 20 feet of water.

The walleye bite is slow.

Crappie can be caught in in 15-25 feet of water vertical on jigs and jigs tipped with minnows and small crank baits around vertical structure.

The catfish bite is still going strong on jugs ,rod and reels and trotlines baited with a variety of baits.

The bass bite is good on any wood cover from real shallow out to 45 feet of water and on the tip ends of points,on worms ,Alabama rigs , and jigs.
