White River Fishing Report 05/29/12 to 06/05/12

The White River has had a great bite going on. Lower water levels have been the trend with some generation in the afternoon. The bite has been on. On one trip this week the two clients in the boat on a half day caught 40 fish 12 of those were Browns and the largest was 24 inches. Best baits right now are Sculpin, Frozen Shad, CD7 or CD9 in gold or silver, Rouges blue or black back with orange belly. Bait fishing Sculpin, Nightcrawlers, or Shad has been producing some sizable Rainbows. Powerbait and Powerbait Trout worms in yellow, bubblegum,or orange has been doing well to catch numbers. For the Fly Fisherman Streamers and White Jigs. Call me if you have questions. Be sure of yourself or get a guide. Now is some of the best times to catch world class fish. The White River has had excellent fishing conditions. The lake has been staying right near normal winter pool level and the generator flow has been varying most days. Having a guide is key to catching those memories for a lifetime. When the generators do come on, take advantage of the rise it creates a very good bite for the Rouges, Spoons, Roster Tails, and other artificial baits. Trophy Browns are being caught at night when the generators are shut down. Come see me for details on this method. Don't be bashful give us a call have a memorable experience with Big Phil's Guide Service. Great fish are being caught right now. There is no better time to go on a guide trip than right now. The weather is changing but the fish are biting. If you catch a trophy fish we as guides prefer to keep the fish in the river so others can enjoy the experience of catching larger fish. A replica mount lasts longer and is no more expensive than a regular mount and it keeps trophy fish in the river for others to enjoy. Please promote catch and release.
