Fishing Report May 4, 2013

Capt. Sam Vandervalk

Ucluelet - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing has been steady when we can get out and fish. The weather is starting to get warmer and we will be on the fishing season very soon! Make sure you get your trip booked for the summer months as we are seeing some nice fish caught. Our guide Dan went out this morning and hooked about 12 Chinook all between 14-19 lbs on Inside South bank and Outside South Bank. There were fish in both places and you didn't have to be in just have to be in a one spot. The Chinook are a nice size for this time of year and that means great things for the upcoming early season.

If you are coming to the Ucluelet/Tofino region, make sure to check out www.tofino-info.com. Many of our guests never see all the great beaches and trails between Ucluelet and Tofino, so now we are encouraging everyone to get the most of the area. Also, if you are having a hard time convincing your wife to come fishing—this may help!
