Sacramento River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Sacramento River salmon fishing in the Chico area was great again today with Kevin Brock's Guide Service. Full limits for all were on board by 11:30am, with ten salmon landed out of 14 hookups. Fishing is still really good!
The hot angler of the day was Mac R. from Vacaville, who had never salmon fished before, but he managed to hook the first three fish of the day. He really gave his "fishing pro buddies" a hard time, and it was a lot of fun.
"We were using 10-pound P-Line, Penn 260 Slammer spinning reels, and G. Loomis GL3 ultralight rods to drift Pro-Cured roe," says Kevin Brock, "for exciting light-tackle action on these hard-fighting Sacramento river salmon."

Sacramento River Fishing Forecast:

Fishing should remain good for the immediate future, as there are currently lots of salmon in the river. But as always, the best time to go fishing is when the fish are biting, which means right now!
