Everyday is different - This was a funny week fish wise. At the beginning of the week we were getting more bluefish that we wanted. It seemed that every place we went there were loads of them. The blues are getting bigger. - We got out a few days this week and the fishing improved a bit each time. There are lots of baby butterfish around and the stripers are keyed in on them. Excellent fishing continues! - This past weekend the Race and locations nearby continued to produce hot fishing with large to medium blues and stripers. Weekend of 7/30 - Fri. mornining's trip to Southwest Ledge (Block Island) landed 3 TROPHY Stripers 45-48 using live eels on spinning gear. Numbers of blue's were also landed. Week in review - Monday afternoon's trip saw Jim and his crew land numerous blue's in the 10 lb. class trolling parachutes around Race Rock to go with a couple stripers.

The stocking truck finally arrived - I went out by myself on Wednesday morning to see if I could find any signs of life. My first cast netted a 12 lb. bluefish. That was followed by a steady pick of 8 - 12 lb. stripers which lasted for several hours. I picked up another big bluefish and more... Capt. Sandy Noyes - Long Island Sound

Shad & Big Stripers - Alan Wolhstrom and crew continued their yearly BIG fish bonanza on Friday 7/02. Shad were biting until the sun brightened, then shut off completely.
