Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Midweek trips saw the Tom Morgan, Carl Leiper, Rene Wendell, and John Hall groups all have great trips with plenty of steady action throughout each trip. From dropping live bait down to hefty stripers or topwater light tackle on smaller stripers with several keepers mixed in everyone had great fun and very productive trips.
Started the weekend off with regular George Chase and crew. Saturday, Bruce and his dad came down, and Saturday night Shawn Boyle's group fished the afternoon bite. Both days the fishing was spectacular. Both groups caught a mess of very nice bass from 35" to 47". They were also treated to a bonanza of action on tons of bluefish that have been gorging in The Race.
Monday, Sharon Kise:) brought out several of her friends for an all women trip. They also had action all day. Early morning the fought with some very big blues on the live bait and finished up catching many stripers from 26" to 35" on light tackle. They were a joy to fish with, everything was exciting to them, and they were alot of laughs. All in all a great week aboard the Kingfisher fun groups of people and plenty of fish catching. If August is half as productive July was it will be a great month.
