Eastern Long Island Sound and Block Island Sound

Capt. Mark Anderson
September 24, 2002
Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fishing scene is busting out all over the place. Bluefish all over the place, bonito and false albacor blitzes are showing up from watch hill to the plum gut, stripers are about to enter their fall feeding frenzy, and blackfish have shown up in full force. In the offshore scene, school bluefin are the hot ticket around the 700 line along with huge schools of false albacor and bonito. A few giants have been taken in the butterfish hole on live bluefish also. If the weather holds the inshore and offshore fishing will only get better for the next month. Snooze you loose, so get out there and have a ball.
