Eastern Long Island Sound and Block Island Sound

Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Took out the boys from Nebraska this past Sun. morning on the Kingfisher. Coming from Nebraska fishing they were only used to Hybrid stripers so they were expecting grand things from our waters here in Eastern Long Island Sound. Trolling at The Race it wasn't long before they hit their first striper. A fat 36" linesider took our parachute jig and the boys got their first battle. Like clockwork they preceded to hit keepers until the tide became too strong to effectively troll. Decided to finish up tube and worming along the outside of Fisher's Island without much success. Some very big stripers patrol the outside of Fisher's and it shouldn't be long before that area heats up. Fluke have been showing up in much shallower water which demonstrates the fluke season is in full gear. We are running our combo trips now so if you want to get in on the fluke/striper action give us a call we still have a few weekend dates left.

P.S. We had a cancelation this coming weekend so call us at 860-573-3614 if you are looking to battle a few stripers with us down in Mystic.
