Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report
Memorial Weekend on the Kingfisher
Saturday sarted off the weekend with our regular group (Robert, NoMas, and the crew). The trip started out slow with the slack tide but turned around quickly with the start of the outgoing tide. A bunch of short stripers were brought aboard with 3 keepers in the mix. Sunday's group (bunch of our finest army guys) scored 6 keeper bass to 36 inches, a mess of shorts, and some blues mixed in. Monday, continued the action with 8 keepers, another mess of shorts and a few more blues mixed in.
In short, the stripers are here in big numbers and should only get better for the month of June with bigger fish moving in daily. We still have a couple open dates for June if you want to get in on the action.
Kingfisher Charters will provide fishing excitement that is customized for you and your group. We will personally discuss with you the type of trip that best suits your needs and desires. From the beginner to the advanced we offer fishing adventures other boats can't match.. A typical full day trip can take you light tackle casting, to live bait fishing, then to deep water trolling for striped bass, bluefish, and fluke. We specialize in live bait fishing for trophy sized bass in shallow water.
