Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

CT Charter Fishing Report for Eastern Long Island Sound

The past week has been great striper fishing all week. With the exception of friday the fish in the 20 to 40 lb. class have taken positins on most of the reefs in this end of the sound. Costumers have gotten their limit on just about every trip. The fluke fishing has also been surprisingly good this year. I would say on most trips we have had a 2 to 1 average on shorts to keepers.

Just today a group that usually fishes with charters out of Montauk gave us a try and decided Montauk out after getting 8 lunker stripers in the 20 to 30 lb. class. I am very excited about the rest of the season, it looks very promissing given how it has been so far.

Kingfisher Charters will provide fishing excitement that is customized for you and your group. We will personally discuss with you the type of trip that best suits your needs and desires. From the beginner to the advanced we offer fishing adventures other boats can't match.. A typical full day trip can take you light tackle casting, to live bait fishing, then to deep water trolling for striped bass, bluefish, and fluke.
