Labor Day weekend fishing report from the Kingfisher

Thursday night the fish were on the feed for Richard Stone and his friend Mark. Started out bluefishing during the fast part of the tide and saved the live bait till sunset and the slower part of the tide. Worked out perfect for bluefish on every drift and a monster 40 " bass that Mark hooked into on the last drift of the night. Saturday Robert, No Mas, and scarface had pretty much the same action with all the blues they wanted and three nice bass to 37". Sunday was a different story, high pressure and winds moved in and the fish turned off. Same scenario for Monday's group, only two stripers and a few blues as the winds and high pressure system hung around and spoiled the fishing. Good day for sailing I guess but I don't sail. We will be starting our blackfish trips this weekend and go all the way until Thanksgiving.
