Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Big stripers have moved into the area along with some large blue's. On Sun. 7/11 Mike Weber and crew landed a bunch of stripers that included a fat 45lb fish on a live shad. The next day Sean Roberson landed 4 big stripers between 38-40" on live bait to go along with school stripers and some blues drifting plastics and jigs. Friday 7/16 Jason Bohn and friends enjoyed drifting and trolling in the Race for all the fish they wanted. Drifting plastics and jigs again was the ticket for keeper sized stripers and bluefish in the 8-10 lb. class. Sat. 7/17 Dave Downs and sons trolled up all the BIG blue's they could handle to go with a keeper striper. Sunday John Ward's trip was able to secure some live bait and land the first 50 lbr.(54") of the year aboard the boat. Misquamicut continues to produce keeper fluke on our combo charters.
