Quepos - Saltwater Fishing Report
January 20 Ken & Iris on the Wahoo had 1 marlin, 3 Sailfish Released and 2 Dorado. They were having so much fun on their half day trip that they stayed out all day. Joe Iuliano on Fly Catcher had a Marlin on for 30 minutes when he gave some slack and he got off. He did release 2 sailfish after his fight with Marlin which he says gives him reason to come back next year and try again. Lots of clients flyfishing this week with some good success. Jack & Mike fishing the Swordfish for 4 days have been successful in raising 6-10 sails each day. Client on Idra had a Marlin on but broke off. Conventional fishing has been good too. Kelly & Monique on the Caribsea released 7 sails on Tuesday while Ed Dunklee on the Reel Deal Raised 7 and Released 3 of them but also had a monster Dorado which he enjoyed the catch immensely. Client Pat Nolans fishing the Alboran for 3 days had between 5-8 Sailfish each day. Phil Carter fishing the Reel Deal on Friday came down to catch his first Sailfish and was rewarded with 7 Raised and 5 released
