Quepos - Saltwater Fishing Report

Final Day to the Offshore World Championship here in Quepos Costa Rica with
a total of 823 Billfish Released, 10 Marlin, 28 Dorado and 6 Wahoo.
Congratulations are in order for all of the participating Teams and Crews!
With the Top Angler Teams for 1st Place who qualified in the Lyford Cay
Offshore Tournament from the Bahamas. With 2nd Place going to New Guinea
who qualified in the GFA of PNG National Title, 3rd Place to US Team from
North Carolina that qualified in the Presidential Challenge Guatamala, 4th
Place to the Australians who qualified in the Shimano West Australia Open
and 5th to the USA team that qualified in the 2011 OWC.
Quepos is very pleased to claim home to 3 of the Top Captains with 1st Place
going to Michael Alligood of the Epic in Los Suenos, 2nd to Franklin Arrieta
Jimenez on the Sea Hawk here in Quepos, Rudy Soto on Sweet Dreams took 3rd,
Eziquiel Amaya of the Dream Believer out of Quepos 4th and the John
Wisentine of the Sea Quester also from Quepos in 5th.
Top Anglers were Craig John White of Australia, Juan Carlos Gonzalez Olmos,
Peter Patrick Diezmann of New Guinea, Sam Worden of the USA and Alijosa
Hribar of Croatia
Today our crew on the 32' Mad Marlin released 6 Sailfish with team from
Trinidad. Day 3 was a Bye Day as we were a back up crew.
