Rio Colorado - Saltwater Fishing Report
The fishing continues to be really good from Rio Colorado Lodge in Barra del Colorado. We are having unusually dry weather for this time of year, the skies completely cloudless for the last few days, and the weather hot! Wally J. of Dallas, TX planned to fish 4 days, but the fishing was so good that he took one afternoon off to rest. He boated 4 90 - 130lb. tarpon as well as wahoo and shark. Bryan and Julia of Hattiesburg, MS. fished freshwater for smaller species and caught all types of fish including guapote, tiger, mojaras, jacks, pinto, snapper viejito, and 4 snook. Rio Colorado Lodge continues to offer a summer special, call 1 800 243-9777 for more information.
The Rio Colorado Lodge is remotely located on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica, nestled in Costa Rica's ropical jungle where the Colorado River flows into the Caribbean Sea. Here you'll experience the world's best tarpon and snook fishing as well as a multitude of light tackle game fish.
