Big Snook are back at Rio Colorado Lodge, Costa Rica

Capt. Dan Wise
February 3, 2010
Rio Colorado - Freshwater Fishing Report

Fishing and the weather have been up and down at Rio Colorado Lodge this January. Early in the month we had rain and high waters, fishing was slow, even though tarpon were seen rolling in the river. The fishing improved as the rains calmed, and the river dropped, and now big snook are being caught by Rio Colorado Lodge guest as well as the locals. Many of these snook over 20lbs. Tarpon are also being boated.

The Rio Colorado Lodge is remotely located on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica, nestled in Costa Rica's ropical jungle where the Colorado River flows into the Caribbean Sea.  Here you'll experience the world's best tarpon and snook fishing as well as a multitude of light tackle game fish.
