Salinas - Saltwater Fishing Report

What a day we had on Sunday!
On board our 28 footer,….4 Blue Marlins released. They were ranging from 500lbs to 700lbs. Maybe it was the effect of the colder water which was at 71F which brought in the bigger Blues instead of the average Stripes which circle our coast in warmer temperatures.
This is typical at this time of the year…….We were actually looking for these guys, which is why we used only the 80 pound lines hooked with dead bait and artificial lures…it proved to be a success!!
We are talking about 30-45 minute long fights, which are enough to leave a sore arm to any hardened angler…But it was a terrific day and we certainly enjoyed it.
We also enjoyed the 3 Wahoo that we caught earlier. Of course they were delicious at night on the grill.
Conditions were a bit rough during the morning but the sea took it easy on us after lunch which is when we had most of the action.
This summer is definitely turning out to be a hit….
Contact us and be a part of it!!
Buena pesca amigos
