Winter fishing 2018

Capt. Luis Gomez
April 13, 2018
Salinas - Saltwater Fishing Report

Now that we started a new year, our weather also changes to the warmest part of the year. This is when humidity and the sun makes us feel like the Caribbean.
It is also the best time to fish for Marlin. Water temperatures are ideal for Blue Marlin and Black Marlin. Mostly from Salinas during the first 4 months of the year.
We wanted to get a little preview so we went out in Salinas over the weekend on our Bertram 28 and managed to land 2 Marlin which we released. Both were over the 200 pound mark for sure and we used our 80 pound line Penn International.
