Big Ole Black Drum

Capt. Jeff Crumpton
April 14, 2010
Amelia Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

Have been a busy week I hope this summer brings lots of charters to all the Captains, I had several trips last week fishing for Black drum trout & Redfish. The drum are all over the beach doing thier spawning thing, daisy chaining around the boat right at the surface along with huge redfish mixed in pretty cool to see. 1/2 or 1/4 blue crab with a shrimp will do the trick to catching them right on the bottom. Whiting and more whiting also is a great bite. Try a Orvis Helios rod or the Clearwater II rods and reels. Give Orvis Endorsed Guide Captain Jeff Crumpton a call 904.753.6379 Tight Lines & Screaming Drags!

Amelia Island Fishing Forecast:

Cobia will be here soon, I have been seeing some rays & mantarays but not the man in the brown suit.
