Anna Maria fishing on rebound - Now that the weather is moderating we have seen lots of sheepshead and small reds returning to structure. Black drum are also in deeper grass areas. Bustin blues off Anna Maria Island - Even with all the cold temperatures this past week it did not stop a voracious bite from bluefish. Big flounder still showing off Anna Maria - We have been catching nice big flounder out on each grouper trip. most are over a 18 inches and the biggest recent flounder was a whopping 26 inches. Anna Maria grouper are in close - We are fishing good numbers of grouper from 4-10 miles out on hard bottom. Our last trip had about 50 fish caught with 6 legal size hitting the cooler. Red hot Kingfish off Anna maria Island - I have been hooking up on big kings up to 32 pounds. They have been in the rough water over hard bottom in 20 -40 foot depths. Kings have arrived off Anna maria - The kingfish migration has started right on schedule. A couple of cold fronts have pushed the kings our way.
