Big Pine Key - Saltwater Fishing Report
Weather for the last week has been great... Been doing a lot of early morning starts and been finding happy rolling tarpon.
Tarpon season is coming to an end.. Most of the migratory tarpon have moved on... Also most of the anglers too.. However there is still enough big tarpon around to gets some shots.
Summer time is a great time to target resident juvenile tarpon.. These guys are fun! They will eat surface flies and top water plugs!
Summer and fall are the best times to fish for bonefish in the Lower Florida Keys.
Summer is also a great time of year to target permit..
Big barracudas prowl the same flats as permit and bones.. These guys are incredibly fast!
Violent Strikes + big jumps + hundred yard runs = Fun!
