Biscayne Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sight fishing the flats of Biscayne Bay is always exciting and this day started with Markham and Jack on the bow in search of Biscayne silver (bonefish and permit). We had a small window of opportunity before the storms forced us off the water but we capitalized on some tailing and cruising permits. The strong tides on the oceanside had the permits moving well and feeding aggressively.
This fish was one of two swimming side by side looking for breakfast in the early morning. A well placed cast had this fish looking for the crab until he found it and we were off to the races. There are few things as exciting as watching a big 20lb permit like this one eat close to the boat and watch him melt line off your spool quicker than you thought possible.

Fishing for the big three (bones, permit and tarpon) should remain good especially this week with the strong tides and new moon. Early morning incoming tides this weekend, get out there and make that drag sing!
