Biscayne Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

It's definetly summer and the bite is 100%! Bonefishing in Biscayne Bay is excellent right now and the early morning tailers are out in full force.

Now with the wind behind us, (knock on wood) Slick calm mornings should be a regular occurance! Well deserving for us anglers who rode out the wind this spring. The bite around sundown is equally as good and sometimes I find that time of day with the right tide to be the most productive for me! Its a fly anglers paradise out there right now and for the bones in Biscayne Bay patterns from snapping shrimp to tan bone toads should make those reels scream! Heading over to Flamingo, the action has been fairly consistent lots o tailing reds throughout the day, the bights and key island flats east of the marina have been loaded with goodies! Baby poons rolling early in the morning, snook busting bait, and heards of reds pushing there way up onto the flats, need I say more! From a photographers prospective there has been some a award winning style scenes out there lately, just hard to snap pics or shoot video while you're casting. Time to get out there folks, just be safe and remember to be cautious when navigating in the park, catch em up............Capt. Joe!
