Fly Fishing For Permit

Capt. Raul Montoro
August 24, 2012
Biscayne Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Today I fished with Mike H and we were specifically targeting permit on Fly.

For those of you who fly fish know, catching a permit on fly takes time and dedication. Permit are one of the hardest of the big three (bonefish, tarpon, permit) flats species to fool with a fly.

We put the time in today and had several shots through out the day. We had one fish on for about five minutes and pulled the hook. It was heart breaking to say the least, but mike had his game on and we landed this perfect fly caught permit before days end.

The permit fishing right now in Biscayne Bay is second to none. Now is a great time to book a trip. Give me a call and lets go over some dates.
