Biscayne Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

My Name is Alex Zapata and I am a licensed charter captain and a Certified casting instructor by the fly fishers international organization (Formerly International Flyfishing federation IFFF) based out of Miami Florida. I specialize in teaching clients the art of flyfishing and fly casting. I will be your Florida Keys Flyfishing Guide.

Spinning or bait casting, rely on the lure's own weight to pull line from the reel, during the forward motion of a cast. Flyfishing is a fishing method that involves casting the line, attached to an ultralight lure made of feathers or artificial fibers.

Biscayne Bay Fishing Forecast:

Fall time is upon us and with it, cooler water temperatures, the bait migration and the biggest tides of the year. The big tides can favor permit fishing but can make bonefishing challenging. Expect great fishing for tarpon, snook, snappers and jacks as the pilchards and mullet start to show up in the bay.

Target Species:

Bonefish, permit, tarpon, redfish, snook, sharks
