Night Time Tarpon

If you are coming to Miami or live close by this is a great time to fish for Tarpon
without having to go far from Miami.
I am fishing some very well known spots in the early evening with live crabs and producing a good amount of fish. Last night I had the pleasure to fish with Darrel and Jamie Ramey from Sherman Texas, first cast Jamie hooks up with a Tarpon estimated at 140 pounds. We leadered him and broke him off boat side before he could pull us out to a very rough sea. She really kick his butt with shear brute force! We jumped 4 more in the next 45 minutes, but we had a little bad luck also after a line broke on a huge Tarpon when it rubbed around a channel marker.
After that the smaller Tarpon (70 lbs) were around the bridges and managed to get 2 more in the air before bridge pilings broke us off. That was a slow night as of lately!
It will be good all week and we will be there.
Good luck
