Boca Grande, Florida Fishing Report

Capt. Andy Boyette
January 24, 2005
Boca Grande - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tarpon Fishing

Tarpon Fishing season will be here quicker than you think.I have already booked about forty trips for the season May-July its never to early to book.

Fishing was as hot as the weather here the past few weeks to say the least. With the unusually warm winter we have had the snook refish and trout all cooperated nicely. But as with all good things they have to end some time and the temps droped and slowed things down.

With this weeks cold front the fish will be looking for warm water, so will I. Fishing will pick back up as they adjust to the temps you will just have to look a little harder. Check the bars on a warm sunny day as the redfish will push up on the bars as the tide rises. Snook will be in deep running water near river and creek mouths. Seatrout seem to enjoy the cold and can be taken on msot deeper flats and pot holes
